The projecting wall fitting is for an electrical installation with electro-mechanical connections for the cores of the installation cable. This is intended to prevent installation and connection by a layman. It has an insert to be placed in the housing. The connections are formed by an insulated multi-way plug connector (10). The plug is inserted from outside the housing (2) through a wall (13) of the housing. The polarity of the pins cannot be altered. The plug connector is located under a cover and is separate from the cover of the function insert (7) and the rocker switch plate.
