Band scale measurement rule with cassette and motor - has scale cursor and swivel mounting with angle meter

The band scale measurement rule suitable for educational and industrial applications combines the sitributts of and performs the functions previously requiring both a rule and a geo-triangle and several calculators. It contains a scale band (1a) which can have any scale printed on it. The scale band is driven either manually or by a motor (2) and has a cassette (3) into which it rolls up. The tape or band may be marked with a distance scale and the rule carries a measurement cursor and centre line marker slide pieces. The rule has a mounting section with an angle meter. It is able to rotate about a pivot point with a clamp screw. There is a knob enabling the tape or band to be slid for adjustment.
