发明名称 ELECTROCHEMICAL CRUSHING METHOD OF BORON CARBIDE SINTERED BODY
摘要 PURPOSE:To recover a boron carbide powder efficiently by immersing the boron carbide sintered body in the aqueous solution of an acid, an alkali or a salt and crushing it electrochemically. CONSTITUTION:The boron carbide sintered body is immersed in the aqueous solution of an acid, an alkali or a salt and used as an anode and DC current is passed therethrough. As an electrolyte, for example, either an ionrg. acid such as hydrogen chloride and sulfuric acid, an org. acid such as formic acid and acetic acid, an alkali such as sodium hydroxide or a salt such as potassium carbonate can be used. The current density of the surface of the sintered body is several A/cm<2> or less. The applied voltage is in a range of several V-several ten V and the electrolytic treatment temp. is in a range of room temp.-several 10 deg.C. Thereby, the boron carbide sintered body receives the errosion from crystal particles of the surface thereof and a single particle or particles comprising few crystal particles are separated from the surface of the sintered body and crystal particles with a particle size of about 1-10mu is obtained.
