The device is used when a dental prosthesis is being worked upon by a hand tool. It comprises a transparent hollow shell surrounding the tool which fits through a sealed opening in the shell. The wall of the latter has two access openings either side of the working point with sealed gloves into which the hands can be fitted. pref. the shell is made of glass or plastics and additional devices such as a spray jet for water a magnifying glass and a working light may also be incorporated.
