PURPOSE:To obtain the amplitude discrimination circuit which is hardly malfunctioned, with high reliability, by detecting rapid decrease in readout signal and quickering the decrease through reducing the discharge time constant of a smoothing circuit of slice level for the part only. CONSTITUTION:Readout signals a1, a2 are rectified 6, 7, smoothed 8, 9, 10 to produce a slice level (d), the voltage value of the slice level (d) and the amplitude voltage values (d-f) of the readout signals are compared, and the signal corresponding to the amplitude is generated with the comparator 26. The circuit 36 receiving this signal detects that the peak voltage value of the readout signal amplitude is smaller than the slice level voltage value by the generation of presence of absence of the signal for a given time or more, outputting the detection signal (j) corresponding to it. The circuit 11 receiving this detection signal (j) is a circuit to determine the discharge time constant of the smoothing circuits 8, 9, 10 smoothing readout signals, and this circuit changes the discharge time constant according to the signal (j). |
