Vehicle loading recording system for e.g. omnibus - uses characters printed on strip according to numbers of passengers

The arrangement for indication and/or registering the loading of vehicles is esp. for recording the number of passengers in an omnibus. A series of marks is placed at intervals on a print strip for each printout value. The distance of the end of the marks from a reference line corresp. to the loading. Additional data such as date and times can be reliably recorded at minimal expense. Different characters and/or numbers are used as markings. These are selected for printing by a selector (17) driving the printer (23) control inputs. The number of markings selected and printed depends on the magnitude of the loading. A data generator system (16,20,21,22) has access to the selector via control inputs (18). It supplies the additional data to be printed out such as date (21), time (20), route (16), etc.
