<p>The burner is particularly for an industrial furnace used for heat treatment etc. having a mixing and combustion chamber ending at a nozzle and an air inlet connected to ports at the other end of the chamber. The incoming air is directed over the outside (18) of the combustion chamber wall (10) so as to give direct heat exchange. It can be arranged to flow in the opposite direction to the flame, from near the nozzle (11) to the rear end of the chamber, typically via an annular passage of which the latter forms the inner wall.</p> |
