PURPOSE:To obtain optimum magnetic field strength for every separation at a small consumption of electric power, by exciting auxiliary windings equipped at the part, where nonmagnetic metals are separated, of a polyphase AC magnet so as to increase the strength of magnetic field at the part where nonmagnetic metals are separated. CONSTITUTION:Auxiliary windings 133 are equipped in the winding of a polyphase AC magnet 13 and ordinary windings 132 are excited weakly to such a degree that no magnetic materials attracted at the drum fall because of vibration etc. Hereby the magnetic materials 5 travel with a revolving drum 8 to the end of the winding 132, then separate from the drum 8 smoothly, hence the magnetic materials 5 are separated efficiently. In addition, excitation of the auxiliary windings 133 allows to generate sufficiently strong magnetic field for separating nonmagnetic metals. Therefore, magnetic material 5, nonmagnetic metal 6, nonmetal 7 are separated efficiently. |
