PURPOSE:To reduce the time aging of a vibrator, by arranging so that the electrode is not provided on the part where the maximum distortion of a crystal vibrator is caused. CONSTITUTION:A part without an electrode 5 is provided on the part where the maximum distortion is caused around the groove bottom 1a of the internal and external sides of the tuning fork of a tuning fork crystal vibrator. And on the main surface of the tuning fork, as well, the farther the distance becomes from the neutral axis in case of the primary natural vibration, the larger the distortion becomes, and it reaches the maximum at the edge line part which contacts with the side, and therefore the part 6 which works for connecting the electrode through the main surface from the side is also located as near as possible to the neutral axis, and the width is also made narrow. On the other hand, length 7 of the part 5 is made a half or so of that of the resonant part 8. |
