PURPOSE:To facilitate the entry and taking-out of such an article of small thickness as a floppy disc at a storage equipment, by entering the article onto an optional storage rack and by automatically selecting the rack to take out the article. CONSTITUTION:When an entry switch 4 is operated, an entry signal is applied to an empty address detection circuit 35 and the contents at an address in a memory 32 corresponding to the centents of a counter 34 are sequentially read and compared with a zeor signal and a motor 18 is rotated to more a hammer 11 address by address to a next storage rack 3. When an empty storage rack 3 is detected, the motor 18 is stopped to halt the movement of the hammer 11 and a solenoid 22 is driven to thrust the neck 11c of the hammer to protrude the storage rack 3. At the same time, index information is applied to the memory 32. To take out an article, a rack 3 at an address wherein index information on the article is stored is detected by sequential reference from a zero address. The takeing-out of the article is thus enabled. Empty address information is stored at the memory 32 corresponding to the rack 3 from which the article is taken out. |
