PURPOSE:To decrease the fluctuations in connection losses by inserting and fixing a ceramic sleeve built in with an optical fiber into one side of an optical fiber adapter. CONSTITUTION:Ceramic sleeves 8 which have an outside diameter very slightly smaller than the inside diameter of optical fiber adapters 4, 4' are built in with optical fibers 6, 6' fixed onto the central axis and at least one end thereof is levelled are inserted into the optical fiber adapters 4, 4' from one end. The levelled one end of the optical fibers 4, 4' is then fixed. These make it possible to keep small fluctuations of the connection losses caused by mounting and dismounting the optical fiber connector. |
