PURPOSE:To obtain an Ag alloy having superior castability, sulfurization resistance, mechanical strength, etc. and assuming an elegant light yellow color by alloying Ag with a specified amount of Pd, In, Zn and Ni. CONSTITUTION:This alloy consists of 60-70% Ag, 10-20% Pd, 15-25% In, 1-6% Zn and 0-5% Ni. It contains no Cu, yet it has a light yellow color tone similar to the color tone of a high karat Pt-Au alloy or a K14 Au alloy. In addition, this alloy is not blackened and has superior ductility, toughness, castability and sulfurization resistance, so it is suitable for use as a dental alloy or an alloy for accessories. |
