NEW MATERIAL:The titled compound expressed by formula I (R is lower alkyl; n is 3 or 4). USE:An additive for synthetic resin coating materials, a binder, an adhesive and a flame-retardant. PROCESS:A phosphazene compound of formula II (X is halogen), e.g. hexachlorotriphazene or octachlorotetraphosphazene, is reacted with a soluble alkali metal silicate, e.g. water glass, in the presence of a mineral acid to afford the compound of formula I. |
