<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a wear resistant sprayed surface layer having superior abrasive wear and scuffing resistances by plasma spraying a mixture of Mo powder and high C ferrochromium powder having a specified grain size and a specified composition. CONSTITUTION:A mixture consisting of 15-60% Mo powder having 170-325 mesh grain size and the balance 60-70% Cr-contg. high C ferrochromium powder having 170-325 mesh grain size is plasma sprayed on the surface of a base material to form a sprayed surface layer. As the Mo powder >=98% purity powder is used, and by adjusting the amount of Mo powder mixed to 25-50%, an especially desirable sprayed surface layer is obtd.</p> |
