The invention relates to a device for sealing of magazines, which are continuously conveyed on a conveyor 1 with their back edge 3 turned in the direction of motion. The sealing is made by application of at least one label 5 around any of the edge sides of the magazine 2, seen in the direction of motion, such that the cover pages 6, 14 are interconnected at a distance from the back edge 3. According to the invention, such a sealing is achieved in that a label dispenser 4 is incorporated into the sealing device, the label dispenser being adapted to dispensing one label 5 at a time with the adhesive side facing the magazine 2, and means 7, 8, 12, 16, 19', 19" which are arranged to apply the label 5 against one cover page 6 of the continuously forwarded magazines, and firstly bend the label into a generally 90 degrees angle relative to the plane of the magazine 2. Immediately following this, the label 5 is bent a further generally 90 degrees until adhering against the opposite cover page 14 of the magazine 2. <IMAGE> |
