The storage mechanism is aranged on either side of the supply mechanism (2) and a lifting mechanism (1) fitted witb forms in line with the trolley (8). The hoist lifts a row of articles in line with each of the rows on the trolley and the boist travels transversally on a cross beam (10) supporting the trolley (9) and the vertical beam (5). The articles are loaded from the feed mechanism which consists of a conveyor belt system operated by a powered wheel (2).
