The mast has two rows of parallel nominally staggered double cantilever demountable rungs. The basket comprises parallel 'U' shaped bars (2) mounted transversely on portal frames (3), and a central bar (2a) may have a welded unilateral cantilever extension (5). The extension may be approximately 'L' shaped with a vertical (6) and a horizontal bore (13). The bore is smooth and accepts a cylindrical ferrule (7) extending mast (8) at the foot. The bore (13) is tapped to accept a locking screw (15) with a lock nut (16).
