<p>PURPOSE:To remove concurrently SOx and NOx present in combustion waste gas by using a catalyst obtained by bearing copper oxide on a carrier manufactured by caking an aluminous substance with titanium oxide thermally stabilized by calcium oxide. CONSTITUTION:Titanium oxide thermally stabilized by calcium oxide is combined with an aluminous substance to obtain a catalyst support, and then copper oxide is added to the catalyst support. Combustion waste gas is brought into contact with the catalyst thus obtained to remove concurrently SOx and NOx present in the waste gas to clean the waste gas. For example, the catalyst support is obtained by a procedure in which titanyl sulfate is neutralized with NH4OH solution, product formed is separated by filtration and baked, and then an alumina aqueous solution is added to the baked product, baked, and molded.</p> |
