Filter consists of cylindrical surround containing filter material like sand, ion exchange resin or the like in which a rapid, regular and satisfactory separation of the liquid to be filtered by providing in combination a feed tube for the liquid with perforations in its wall, a trough shaped deflector placed at the base of the feed tube, a second deflector above the filter mass and under the trough shaped deflector. Particularly suitable as a water filter for swimming baths, the combination of perforations, deflectors and trough ensures excellent distribution of the water output and allows for high output. |
