Pneumatic positioning control for machining circular saw discs - has sensor fitting into holes around disc to halt disc advancement

The positioning control comprises a vertical support allowing free rotation in a horizontal plane of a head with a radial support arm carrying a pivoted position sensor. This can be moved vertically and has a rounded boss which fits into the centre of a positioning hole formed in the saw disc to allow its alignment relative to the machining tool. The sensor is then pivotted aside to allow machining. The boss has a compressed air outlet at one side for detecting its location into a hole. The compressed air channel cooperates with a switch controlling a digital display and a delay circuit for the automatic advancement of the disc. The positioning cycle is variable with pneumatic devices controlling the synchronised circular and vertical movement of the sensor.
