Stabilised ground for playing field - has non woven resin fabric filter layer to prevent fine particle migration

The ground is cleared of obstructions and levelled to the required profile and then trenches (1) are dug tangentially to ground contours at a spacing determined by local rainfall. Perforated field drains (2) are laid on a bed of sand then covered with filter material (3) while flow gaps (4) are dug at right angles to the trench and filled with gravel. The whole area is then covered with the filter fabric (5) followed by a supple bed of gravel (6) and this is topped off with the playing surface (7) which is permeable and flexible.
