<p>The additional safety buckle is for a vehicle safety belt, allowing it to be rapidly released by the wearer or others. It comprises an intermediate piece (1) between two sections of the belt (5,8), near the bottom anchorage to the vehicle body. It has a slot (4) in which the end of one section is secured. That of the other section is held in place on the piece by a pin (3), which can be pulled free. The pin can comprise two straight portions (9,10) joined together by an elastic ring, one portion fitting in a socket in the intermediate piece, and the other in a loop formed at the end of the belt section.</p> |
