The device for connecting formwork panels (1) stacked one on top of the other, which in their marginal area have webs (2) and points of application for fastening elements, preferably perforations for through bolts, is designed as an angle rail (3). At one end, this angle rail (3) has an extension (4) of one angle leg (5) relative to the other angle leg (6). A fastening element (7) is arranged in a projecting manner on this extension (4) and matches the points of application for the fastening elements of the formwork panels (1). Thus, preferably at all four corners of a stack of formwork panels (1) at the lowermost formwork panel, the lowermost formwork panel can be taken hold of by means of this bolt-shaped fastening element (7), and the entire stack can be held together by swinging the angle rails (3) in a vertical position. <IMAGE>
