<p>The drier is for grain and other free-flowing material, having a drying chute with a number of drying stages and one or more cooling ones. The material moves through the chute under gravity, means being provided for delivering and discharging it, while drying and cooling air are also supplied to the chute. A dust separator is provided for the drying air at least. The separator is mounted in rucksack fashion on the chute (1), being secured to the latter to form a compact unit. It can have a collector passage (35,37) connected to the cooling and drying air supply passages (16,12), and to which a separator passage (36,38) is in turn connected. This comprises a straight portion (39) and a curved centrifugal one (40). At the end of the latter is a separation and discharge device (41) with clean (43) and dusty (44) air outlets.</p> |
