Insertion mechanism lifting layers from stack - blows air through pairs of intersecting needles to separate layers

The insertion mechanism is adjustable in order to lift one or more layers of material at a time off a stack. It has hollow needles (3,4) through which air is blown between the layers, the needles being mounted in pairs and intersecting at the insertion points. They can be fixed in a top block (1) coupled by an adjusting screw (7) to a bottom one (2) containing curved grooves (9',10') forming needle guides.
