A heat radiating plate 22 for a gas burner in a grilling stove comprises a central arcuate portion 22A for attaching to a burner tube 20 having a series of small ports 20A, and two upwardly inclined side portions 22C having a peripheral flange with upwardly projecting rounded corners 22E to limit warpage. The burner plate may be coated with black, grey or red porcelain or heat resistant paint. In a second embodiment (Figs. 7-9) of the plate the upwardly extending flanges are limited to the front and rear edges and there are upwardly extending longitudinal ribs at the sides. The side portions 22C slope upwards at 5 degrees. Dimensions for the size and positioning of the plate are specified. |
