Floor sweeper brush drive - has gear-wheel provided with slots in tooth gaps to feed away dust to running wheel annular groove

The gearwheel drive is for e.g. floor sweepers in which, crossways to the direction of travel, is fitted a roller brush. At either end of the brush is a running wheel with a gearwheel. This gearwheel is in turn engaged by a drive wheel. At least one gearwheel of each pair is provided with slots to conduct away dust and which are located in the floor of the gaps between the gear teeth. The slots extend over the width of the toothing, and run radially inwards. They discharge into an annular groove of the drive running wheel, this groove having several dust disposal holes.
