<p>The flow meter is used for measuring the quantity of liquid or gas flowing through a housing in a unit time is esp. applicable to the measurement of small quantities of fluid flowing under low press. It contains a conducting body (4) and a measurement body (14) moved by the fluid. One body is fixed whilst the other has an elastic frictionless mounting. The separation of the two bodies in the direction of flow is a measure of the quantity of fluid flowing per unit time. A sensing mechanism (18,19) responding to the displacement of the elastically mounted body from its rest position, is coupled to it via an axial actuating rod (16). The movable body blocks the flow channel in the rest position.</p> |
