Exhaust pipe for IC engine - has double walled construction with perforated guide blades within to provide silencing

The exhaust has an inner tube (2) inside an outer tube (1). Perforated guide blades (5) are fixed inside an extension (2") of the inner tube at the inlet end (2a). The inner tube surrounding these has perforations (2f) into the space between the inner and outer tubes. The following part (K) of the inner tube is solid and this is followed by a further perforated section (2g). At the outlet end the inner tube is solid. The outer tube has an internal sleeve (2e) which slides easily over the end of the inner tube to provide an outlet stub (2') which allows lengthwise adjustment of the exhaust.
