The case for a roller shutter has bottom, outside and covering boards. There is an inside board acting as inspection lid, with hole between outside and bottom boards for shutter passage, and holes in bottom board for shutter and for cord, form box cladding, between two sidepieces. At an interval from the sidepiece (11) on the cord roller side, there is an interposed partition (17), with a hole (D) for the spindle or stump axle (211), separating the roller area (A) of the case from the shutter area (R). The hole can contain a brush-type seal (174) surrounding the spindle or axle.
