Covered spring-sets withstanding washing on PCB - has pin mounting and breakable cover section for subsequent mounting of relay coil

Contact spring sets, for an electromagnetic relay, are covered and designed to undergo the washing and drying process associated with PCB (Printed Circuit Board) wiring so that the spring sets may be soldered to the board at the normal production stage for other components. After the wash removal of surplus solder and the following drying process the relay coil and operate mechanism is mounted on top of the spring set and makes contact by pushing out a weakened section of the cover. The spring sets (4,5,5') are wired through the base (2) to wire contacts (13) which extend through the PCB (20) and are soldered to the copper track (14). The spring sets are protected during washing etc by a cover (1) with a weakened section (1a) directly over the spring set locating pin (9). After washing etc., the relay coil can be mounted and the weakened section (1a) can be broken out so that the relay coil locates correctly in order to operate the moving spring sets (18,18') in relation to the fixed contact (16).
