<p>The connector consists of a plug and socket, each with an insulating inset holding the contacts, which can be positively inserted in a housing in one of several preset positions. The housing near side is fitted with a cover plate (2) for the contacts. This plate is connectable to the housing (1) in the preset positions by latchable members (5). The insulating insert is fixed in position by screws (10), which also actuate the cover plate latching, on being screwed home. The near inner edge of the housing has bearing positions (9), distributed in accordance with the insert preset positions. The cover plate has legs (5), distributed along its periphery and penetrating into the housing. They have members (6,7), cooperating with the bearing positions. The engagement is latched by a peripheral surface of the insulating insert.</p> |
