PURPOSE:To increase greatly the heat dispersed from the helix for the slow-wave circuit for large electric power traveling wave tube, by slodering the dielectric support and the helix and then deleting by fusion the metalized layer of the support having no soldering. CONSTITUTION:The helix 3 supported by the dielectric support 2 is provided within the cylindrical waveguide 1, and the support 2 is jointed to the contact part 4 by the soldering and the like method. In this case, the entire soldering surface of the helix of the support 2 has the metalized layer formed previously. And the metalized layer is fused away at the area where no soldering is given to the helix after the soldering of the helix. As a result, the contact heat resistance is reduced greatly between the helix and the support 2, thus increasing greatly the heat dispersed from the helix. |
