PURPOSE:To cope with data by varying the frame length even when a sampling speed is changed in the same transmission line speed by adding a frame length control line designating a frame length. CONSTITUTION:A coding circuit 3 adds an Nc bit of error correction bit to an n-bit input signal and applies correction function coding into N(=n+Nc) bit length in total. A framing circuit 4 composes a frame in total L(=LF+LD) bits being the sum of the frame pattern LF bits and the data LD (LD>=n) bits through the control line 7 so as to form L bit for the frame length. A scramble circuit 5 applies scrambling to the framed signal. The framing circuit 4, in case of LD>N, inserts the dummy bit of ND(=LD-N) bit length into a frame so as to bring the frame length into L. Since the frame length is changed by the control line 7, the object is attained. |
