Self-adhesive tongue portions 4 which are to be placed on a strip 1 for feeding for example an automatic machine for wrapping coins are detachably fixed on a carrier strip 3 stretched between a feed means 5 and a receiving means 6, the axis of the receiving means 6 being oblique with respect to the axis of the feed means 5 and parallel to the edge of a plate 7 around which the carrier strip passes and which serves as a detaching means for the tongue portions 4. When the end of each portion 4 has first reached the plate 7, that end is unstuck and is applied to the strip 1 by a solenoid actuated applicator member 13 which is provided with cutting edges 19 for forming notches in the edge of the strip 1. A cam 26 driven by the movement of the strip 1 acts on microswitches 24, 25, 12 to control the operation of the member 13 and the means 8 for feeding the carrier strip 3. <IMAGE> |
