The measuring arrangement can be integrated into the inking rollers so that a rapid compensating adjustment of the colour density of the printing inks can be made. An ink corrector (3) sets the density of the ink supplied from the closing well (2) to the rollers (4). The coloured ink is conveyed on the rollers to the printing plate (6). The density measuring arrangement (10) includes a hollow roller (11) integrated into the roller assembly (4). A light source (18) is assigned to the roller (11). The latter (11) is connected to the measuring section (21) of the controller (20) via leads (24). The controller (20) has a regulator (23) coupled to a programming section (27). The controller is associated with the adjusting mechanism (22) operating setting motors (26) assigned to the correctors (3). The controller is pref. in the form of a microcomputer programmed to match the various printing processes.
