The automatic recording appts. for registering temp. values includes a digital control, a memory and a stepping motor. It is programmed so that several measuring result sequences can be recorded offset to each other. This enables the first measurement or sequence to appear next to the second and third etc. A measurement value derived within a measuring sequence is retained by storage. All subsequent measuring points are then recorded as difference values. The impulses for the stepping motor when winding back the registering paper are kept greater than the summed impulses used for the forward-running measuring mode. The stored first value can be removed during a measuring sequence and replaced by a selected, stored intermediate value to serve as the reference value for the following measurements.
