The invention relates to an apparatus for generating heating and cooling, and storing and using such heating and cooling. The apparatus may include means for storing and using the heat derived from solar energy. As shown, the apparatus includes a heat pump including a compressor (10), a condenser coil (11'), in a heat exchange (11) and a valve arrangement (20) whereby the refrigerant of the heat pump may be directed through alternative circuits to provide cooling at selected locations. The apparatus further includes a solar panel (14), a domestic hot water tank (110) connected to a coil (11'') in the heat exchanger (11), a heat exchanger (16) whereby heating or cooling may be transferred to a house heating and cooling store (15). <IMAGE> |
