PURPOSE:To miniaturize an output transformer while obtaining excellent high- frequency output having no quiescent period at the load side by a method wherein one portion of the primary winding of the output transformer of an inverter is utilized as feedback winding. CONSTITUTION:An AC power source 11 is connected to a rectifying circuit 12, and the output is fed to an inverter 16 through a capacitor 13 and an inductor 15. Taps b, c are formed in the primary winding 221 of an output transformer 22 of the inverter 16, holding an intermediate tap a, and voltage generated at the taps b, c is half-wave rectified by means of diodes 23, 24, and fed back to one end of the capacitor 13 through an inductor 25. Thus, the transformer 22 can be miniaturized without particularly mounting feedback winding to the transformer 22 while stable feedback output is obtained, and high-frequency output having no quiescent period can be supplied to load such as a discharge lamp 26. |
