<p>Uncontrolled changes in (moving) direction of a castor wheel is hampered by a rather simple arrangement, which comprises of a bush-like element (4) guided by pins (5) which are connected to the fork (1) of wheel (11) and provided with a spring (9) that presses element (4) against the cover plate (6). This plate (6) has a groove (7) complementary to a groove (8) of element (4) which on either side is converted into flat portions. Therefore only when a certain force is acted on castor wheel (11) the direction will be changed i.e. the element (4) and connected fork (1) disengaged from plate (6), which depends upon shape and depth of the grooves (7 and 8).</p> |
