ORGANIC VAPOR RESPIRATOR CARTRIDGE END-OF-SERVICE INDICATOR SYSTEM AND METHOD Providing visual means of determining when organic vapor/gas respirator cartridges have exhausted their capacity to provide respiratory protection at or below a hazard concentration level. In inorganic oxidizing agent supported on a translucent carrier is incorporated in a respirator cartridge to oxidize organic vapor or gas contacting the agent in passing through the cartridge and to undergo a concomitant color change that can be observed as an indication of cartridge end-of-service life.
