PURPOSE:To facilitate desired gathering or sorting, by exactly displaying a copy set number and using a collator efficiently. CONSTITUTION:When a gathering number is larger than the total effective processing capacity of vacant collators K1, K2..., this number is divided into register S1 and register S2, and in register S1 the gathering copy number corresponding to the total number of vacant collator bins is sorted to treat this number. On completing this gathering, the residual gathering number is displayed and made known to an operator as well as gathered, thus permitting selection of the necessary sheet from a corresponding bin to be made easy. |
