PURPOSE:To make the moire fringes vague by varying the distance between longitudinal centers of two adjacent slot holes at the central section and the circumferential section. CONSTITUTION:The lateral distance between the centers of two adjacent slot holes made through a shadow mask 7 is enlarged from the central section toward the circumferential section of said shadow mask 7, and the circumferential section of the shadow mask 7 is bent widely. The distance (a0) between longitudinal centers of two adjacent holes at the central section of shadow mask, the distance L0 between the center of deflection O and the center of phosphor film 6, the distance P0 between the center of deflection O and the center of shadow mask 7, the distance (a) between longitudinal centers of adjacent two slot holes at the section except the central section of shadow mask 7, the distance P between the center of deflection O and the shadow mask 7, and the distance L between the center of deflection O and the phosphor film 6 are set to satisfy the following relation a=a0.L0.P/P0.L. |
