A new type of continuous steel casting mould for billets and blooms having improved structures, comprises the upper half mould and the lower whose walls can move separately. Using the mould, it enables to unify the thickness of strand shell and outer casing and to be cast in high speed. The mold overcoming past defects and weakness offers not only to improve strands in quality but decrease tearing and crack of metals. Having relatively simple structures and high reliability in working, the mold produces castings without defect.
