<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an electron beam for providing a circular emission pattern and single spot cross-over image under low heating temperature and bias voltage, by forming (310) face at top of LaB6 single crystal chip and performing electron emission from said face. CONSTITUTION:The axis of single crystal chip is selected as (310) and a conical top having 70 deg. of half top angle is formed at said tip. The direction equivalent for (310) appears at 25 deg.51', 36 deg.52', 53 deg.8', 72 deg.33', 84 deg.16', 90 deg.0' for (310). Consequently (310) face will appear only at the top of chip end and never appear on the slope, thereby the electron beam is radiated only from the top.</p> |
