PURPOSE:To prevent staining of a toner image supporting material accompanied by a change in the liquid sistribution in a liquid-impregnated holding member during stopping of operation by providing a high polymer synthetic resin film having fine open cells on the surface of the heating roller of a fixing device in contact with the roller of an offset preventing liquid coating means. CONSTITUTION:A roller 1 is held heated to a fixed temperature by a heater 9. A device A which coats silicone oil as offset preventing liquid on a fixing roller 1 is formed by a liquid transfer member 16 of heat-resistant felt or the like dipped in the oil of a tank 14 and a bag 17 enclosing the two-folded end 16'' of said member and is held fixed and supported to a frame 18. The bottom surface of the bag 17 is held contacted with the roller 1 by way of a spring 21 and a cam 22 until paper 7 goes into between the rollers 1 and 4 and finishes coming out therefrom by a control circuit, whereby the oil is coated. The bag 17 is made of a film having fine open cells such as ''GORE-TEX '', ''Fluoropore '' or the like. Hence, the staining of the paper owing to the distribution change of the oil in the felt during the operation stoppage may be prevented. |
