PURPOSE:To realize a clear display or recording for the difference of the grain size distribution, by comparing the signal of the particle detector proportional to the size of particle with several threshold levels and then storing the result of the prescribed operation in the form of specified three types of data. CONSTITUTION:The particle detector 1 generates the signal proportional to the size of particle on the basis of the electrical or optical difference between the particle and the particle suspension liquid. The particle signal supplied from the detector 1 is compared at the comparator 2 with several threshold levels, and then the signal showing the size of particle is generated from the signal generating circuit 3. This signal is supplied to the operation/control unit 4 to perform the prescribed operation. Among the result of this prescribed operation, the cumulative grain size distribution or the unit-number distribution of the ordinary grain size distribution is stored into the 1st memory 6, the grain size distribution of the percent display and the difference between the grain size distributions of different samples are stored in the 2nd memory 7 and the 3rd memory 8 respectively. These data are then delivered to the display de device 10 or recording device 11 by the command given from the input device 9. |
