PURPOSE:To emulsion composition which comprises essentially polyorganosiloxane and polyorganosiloxane contg. polyoxyalkylene and exhibits anit-foaming effect in a wide temperature and pH range. CONSTITUTION:This emulsion composition comprises, in wt%., 0.1-90 organosiloxane contg. one or more siloxy units of formula I in one molecule, 0.1-90 polyoxyalkylene-contg. polyorganosiloxane contg. one or more siloxy units of the formula II in one molecule, 0.001-20 fine silica powder, 0.1-40 surface active agent, and 10-98 water. In the formulas, R<1> is univalent hydrocarbon groups of 2-50 C number, R<2> is hydrogen or univalent hydrocarbon groups, R<3> is the formula III in which A<1> is bivalent groups of alkylene groups of 1-8 C number or hydroxypropylene oxylakylene groups of 4-11 C number, A<2> is alkylene groups of 2-4 C number, R<5> is H or terminal groups, R<4> is H or hydrocarbon groups, (a) is 1-3, (b) is 0-2, (c) is 1,2,5 and (d) is 0-2. |
