<p>Elastomeric articles, such as automotive fuel hoses and seals, containing one or more layers containing polyepichlorohydrin gum, polyphenol curing agent, acid acceptor, and certain organo-onium compounds; such articles also containing an optional layer or layers containing polyphenol curing agent, acid acceptor, said organo-onium compounds, and fluoropolymer gum or blends of polyepichlorohydrin and fluoropolymer gum; those articles with more than one layer being shaped and cured without the need for an adhesion-promoting coating between adjacent layers and having resistance to permeation by hydrocarbons and degradation due to hydroperoxides found in fuels; and those articles with a layer or layers containing polyepichlorohydrin gum having improved resistance to scorch and having, when cured, improved heat resistance and compression set. </p> |
