<p>The tearing fragmenter has a rotating cylinder (1) made of thick-walled tube, in which sets of tearing teeth are fitted in a helical pattern around the external surface of the cylinder. The teeth during their rotation are passing through gaps created by sets of teeth fitted on the stationary part of the fragmenter. The individual tearing teeth (4) have cylindrical-or tapered stubs (3) fitted in cylindrical- or tapered bores (2) provided radially in the wall of the cylinder (1). Fixing of the teeth in the cylinder wall is provided by pressure screws (7) meeting the shafts (3) at an acute angle and partly entering into the shaft, while the bases of the square cross section teeth rest on a groove (6) milled into the outer surface of the cylinder. The operating flanks of the teeth are provided with a hard metal disc (5) for cutting edges.</p> |
